Exclusive Lamb    Bottle feeding experience

<

Join us in April 2026 for our very first bottle-feeding lamb experience! This exciting new opportunity is made possible through our partnership with local farmers, from whom we’ll be welcoming cade (or “sock”) lambs to rear here on our farm. What is a cade lamb? A cade (or sock) lamb is one that cannot be raised by its mother for many different reasons and is therefore hand-reared on a bottle. Many farmers are caring for hundreds of newborn lambs at once and don’t have the time to hand-rear those that need bottle feeding. At our farm, as an educational centre, we have both staff and students on hand to make sure these lambs get the regular feeds they need and their bellies stay full.

Sessions are 60 minutes long, you will meet all of our sock lambs, cuddle them, watch them playing & bottle feed some (Under 8's will need assistance from parents when feeding) you will also get to meet our kids baby goats. The timing of the visits ensures that you’ll have exclusive access to the lamb nursery without sharing it with other groups, though you may see other visitors around the farm at the same time. This gives you a great opportunity to enjoy quality time with the animals.

We offer other sessions including our lambing and kidding visit and our Spring baby animal visits.

What age group is this suitable for?

Our lamb bottle feeding visits are suitable for children aged 5 years and older, as well as adults. Since our baby animals are delicate, we ask that adults hold the lambs and kids for younger children, allowing the children to stroke the animals on the adult’s lap. For the safety of both the unborn baby and the expectant mother, we do not permit pregnant ladies on the farm during lambing time. This is to ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing during this busy time on the farm.

Will we get to bottle feed a lamb?

This visit is dedicated to bottle feeding, so you’ll definitely have the chance to feed at least one lamb per person.

What animals will we see on this visit ?

During your visit, you'll have the chance to see our sock lambs.

Can we stay on the farm afterwards?

Sorry, this isn't possible as these are exclusive group visits. Other guests will be booked in after your session

Will we get to see any other animals?

You may see a couple on your walk from the barn to polytunnels but you will not be able to see all of the animals. We do offer other experiences through the year which include meeting and feeding all our animals.
