Frampton is a family-based working 26-acre farm located between Dover & Folkestone in Kent. 

We have been farming since 2021 and LOVE IT! Being outside around the animals, nature and wildlife is so therapeutic and that is why we offer others the opportunity to enjoy our farm.

Our visitors get to learn all about animal husbandry, horticulture and equine care.
We offer a number of ways for children, teenagers and adults to experience farm life.

Care Farming- Alternative Education

Enabling people with learning disabilities, autism and additional educational needs to learn new skills and build confidence in a safe nature setting. Studies show that interaction with animals and being outdoors is therapeutic for all ages, especially children & teenagers with additional needs.

Family Farm Animal Experiences

At Frampton Farm we are excited to offer a small number of Farm experiences for families, during your visit you will experience the real day to day behind the scenes care of our animals. Meet all of our animals, feed them inside their fields Visitors can choose to book a private group session exclusively for their family or friends up to 6 people. Or can book to be part of a small group of 6 people.

Lambing & Kidding Visits 2024

We all love to see the baby animals, lambs, kids and piglets all melt our hearts. We offer a lambing experience that is different to most farms.

Your group has exclusive time visiting the lambs and pregnant ewes in the barn, there will be no other groups here at the same time, so you will have plenty of time to cuddle the lambs. Spending an hour with us you will get to meet some of our other animals too. You will have time to play with our baby animal's and take your own photos.

You may also get to see some ewes giving birth in our barn. Please note this is no guaranteed as ewes will lamb when it suits them not us.

Family Farm Animal Experience

This experience is the perfect choice if you are looking for some exclusive time with our animals for just you, your family, friends. During your visit there will be no other visitors on the farm other than you and your family / friends or as part of a mixed group of up to 6 visitors.

The visit will start with a quick Health & Safety briefing then you will spend your time on the farm assisting our farmers on their morning or afternoon animal feed routine.

Animals included in this experience: Alpacas, Boer Goats, Chickens, Ducks, Mini Pigs, Pygmy Goats, Sheep. (During avian flu restrictions you will not be permitted in with the poultry)

Our farmers will tell you all about our animals, their names, the history of how they came to our farm, interesting facts about each type of breed and are happy to answer any questions you may have. You will have time to play with some of our friendly animals and take your own photos.

This experience is suited to 3 years plus however when young children are in attendance, we may not go into paddocks of larger animals for safety reasons. Under 3s may attend free of charge however we may ask you to carry them when we are around animals who like to jump up.

Available February half term and from April 1st to October 31st.

Due to our land being on a hill and muddy pathway at times we regret we are unable to safely allow wheelchairs and pushchairs at this time.

Smallholder / Farmer Experiences

We offer two different types of farmer experiences one for adults and another for children and teenagers. A great way to experience what being a smallholder is, how to care for farm animals and the legal side of owning livestock.

Smallholder / Farmer for the day

Have you have always wanted to have your own small holding but would like to experience what it is like first, or you may be an animal lover who wants to spend your day being a farmer. Our farmer for the day session is for adults only, during the day you will shadow one of our family members in their full day of farming.

Let us know in advance if you are interested in starting your own smallholding and we can talk you through the legal side or registering with Defra and let you know what records etc you need to keep while you are here.

Young Farmers Clubs

Holiday courses for Little Farmers age 5-7 years, Young Farmers aged 8-12 years and Teen Farmers aged 13-16 years. Learn how to care for our animals and assist in the day-to day-care.

Booking is essential as spaces are limited as we run small group sessions. Dates for 2024 Taster Sessions week commencing 27th May and Summer Holiday Courses July - August.
